Question 1

Do I need to bring anything for the pooja?

Accepted Answer

Yes, all samagri required for the ritual is arranged for you. Yajamans are only asked to bring their mother's photo (if available) and a change of clothes for the ritual. White cotton kurta is preferred; black is avoided. Everything else is prepared and ready when you arrive at Bindu Sarovar.

Question 2

How long does the complete ritual take?

Accepted Answer

The complete Matrugaya Pooja typically takes 3 to 4 hours, depending on the family's specific rituals. Plan for a full morning at Bindu Sarovar. The ritual is performed at a calm, unhurried pace so every step is completed according to scripture.

Question 3

What is the cost of Matrugaya Pooja?

Accepted Answer

Matrugaya Pooja is offered in several personalized packages, each designed for different family situations — from local families to outstation and NRI families requiring complete arrangements. Because every family's needs are different, we discuss cost during personal consultation. Please WhatsApp us with your family details, and Pandit Daxesh will personally guide you on the right package.

Question 4

Can daughters perform Matrugaya?

Accepted Answer

Yes, at Bindu Sarovar in Siddhpur, scriptural tradition permits daughters to perform their mother's Matrugaya. This is one of the rare tirthas where this provision exists. Where daughters are the ones called or able to fulfill this sacred duty, they are warmly welcomed.

Question 5

Can Matrugaya be performed many years after my mother's passing?

Accepted Answer

Yes, once the first year following the mother's passing is complete, Matrugaya can be performed at any time. There is no upper time limit. Whether it has been ten years or several decades, the ritual carries the same scriptural significance.

Question 6

Can families living abroad perform Matrugaya?

Accepted Answer

Yes, families from around the world are welcomed at Bindu Sarovar. Matrugaya must be performed physically at the tirtha, so travel to Siddhpur is required. For NRI and outstation families, full guidance on travel, stay, and arrangements is provided from the first message.

Question 7

When is the best time to perform Matrugaya?

Accepted Answer

Matrugaya can be performed throughout the year — not only during Pitru Paksha. Families choose the mother's death anniversary tithi, an Amavasya, Ekadashi, Pitru Paksha, or any auspicious muhurat. The most important thing is that the ritual is performed with care and devotion.

Question 8

How do I book Matrugaya Pooja?

Accepted Answer

Booking is simple — WhatsApp or call to begin the conversation. You'll receive personal guidance on dates, family requirements, and preparation. A date is confirmed based on scripture and your convenience. Guidance continues from the first message until the ritual is complete.
